Town & Street Festival — continuous operation, not a shop window

At a town festival you are not running a programme for a known audience, but an operation for changing visitors over many hours. Modules have to be robust, move people through quickly and work without lengthy explanation.

Bull Riding, Bayern Rodeo, the Bungee Trampoline, Bumper Cars, the Drift Trike Track and the Mobile Kart Track draw crowds and are made for continuous operation. They attract visitors from a distance — which is what makes the difference on a festival mile. Climbing modules such as High Mountain or Klettermassiv work well alongside them, as a vertical eye-catcher visible from the next street.

For the secondary stations, the Nostalgia Games Booth, tin can alley in the market stall, Hammerhead, duck fishing and Merlin’s Carousel are a good fit — funfair classics that every generation understands. The nostalgia fence separates areas off without looking like site fencing.

Logistically, a street festival is demanding: much of our equipment is very heavy. We have to be able to drive a van or a van and trailer to within a few metres of the installation point and cover the rest of the distance with a pallet truck. Modules are not carried. So agree the delivery time slots with the public order office early on and make sure there are free parking spaces for our vehicles in the immediate vicinity.

Permits, registrations and fees — towards GEMA or the public order office, for example — are the organiser’s responsibility. We provide you with the documentation for our modules, including the TÜV certificate and the construction logbook; tell us during the quotation stage what your authority requires.

  • Choose crowd-pullers: visible from a distance, short cycle times, high throughput
  • Agree delivery time slots and road closures with the public order office early on
  • Access to within a few metres of the installation point — carrying is not possible
  • Allow for free parking spaces for transport and team vehicles
  • We provide the TÜV certificate and construction logbook to EN 13814 (DIN 4112) on request

FAQ

Häufige Fragen: Stadtfest & Straßenfest

Can modules stay in place for several days?

Yes, multi-day deployments are standard at town and street festivals. In that case we calculate standing time, staffing shifts and, where necessary, overnight security. It is important that the modules are secured against theft and vandalism overnight — under our terms and conditions, the organiser is responsible for this.

Who is liable if a visitor is injured?

Visitors use the modules at their own risk. In the case of technically caused accidents or a breach of our employees' duty of care, our liability insurance applies. The client, or their event organiser's liability insurance, is liable for fire, theft and damage to property caused by visitors.

What safety documentation can you supply?

All Xtreme climbing walls and play equipment of five metres and above have a current TÜV report and a construction logbook to EN 13814 (DIN 4112). Inflatable play equipment is manufactured in accordance with DIN 14960. Some equipment we additionally have inspected voluntarily by TÜV or DEKRA. Please request the documentation during the quotation phase, then it will be available in good time.
